Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA)
On November 9, 2024, as part of the preparation for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum, in collaboration with the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), organized an event for NGOs titled “Strengthening International Solidarity for Climate Justice,” which is one of the international initiatives related to COP29.
As part of the conference, Saida Musayeva, the chairperson of the Public Union “Innovative Progress and Support for Ecological and Socio-Economic Development,” organized an art exhibition featuring the handcrafted works of the union’s active members. The paintings displayed at the exhibition attracted great interest from the participants and were highly appreciated.
The event was attended by Azerbaijani MP Azer Allahveranov, Executive Director of the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations Aygun Aliyeva, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum Ramil Iskenderli, and leaders of various NGOs.
During the conference, cooperation between international and local non-governmental organizations, the preparation of joint projects, and opportunities for mutual support in the post-COP29 period were also widely discussed.
