May 17 – 5th Autism Festival
On May 17, 2025, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and organized by the Azerbaijan Autism Association and Azfest Group, the 5th Autism Festival was held at Fountains Square in Baku city.
Honorable Members of the National Assembly Azər Allahverənov, Deputy Vüqar İskəndərov, Şahin Seyidzadə, and Aydın Mirzəzadə, as well as the President of the Autism Federation of Turkic States and Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Autism Association, Elnur Məmmədli, gave speeches at the event. NGO leaders Zülfiyyə Nuriyeva and Axundova Ruxsara, along with members of civil society, also actively participated in the event.
I participated in the festival as the Chairperson of the Public Union “Innovative Progress and Support for Socio-Economic Development,” the head of the “Fortuna Psychology and Coaching Center,” and the leader of the “Art and Creativity Club,” Jamala Nakhchivani.
The organization of such events plays an important role in raising public awareness about autism, integrating individuals with autism into society, and highlighting their talents. At the same time, the gathering of government institutions, public organizations, and international bodies creates an important platform for strengthening support for people with autism and developing joint cooperation in this field.
Such events promote both personal development and social integration and play a crucial role in protecting the rights of individuals who require special care.
