March 12 –Cystic Fibrosis Day in Azerbaijan

On March 12, 2025, a conference organized by the
“Assistance to Cystic Fibrosis Patients” Public Union was
held at the Yeni Clinic.

Saida Musayeva, Chairwoman of the “Innovative Progress and Support for Socio-Economic Development” Public Union, participated in the conference titled “March 12 –Cystic Fibrosis Day in Azerbaijan,” organized jointly by the Medical Territorial Units Management Association
(TABIB) and the “Assistance to Cystic Fibrosis Patients” Public Union. She received 3 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for attending the event, which was accredited by the Scientific-Medical Council of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The conference brought together key participants, including Member of Parliament and member of the Health Committee of the Milli Majlis Pervane Valiyeva, Director of Yeni Clinic Barat Yusubov, Head of the Training and Research Department at TABIB Teymur Mirzabeyli, Head of the Public Relations Department at the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance Leyla Latifova, Head of the Health Policy Department of the Ministry of Health Ramiq Guliyev, WHO representative Elturan Ismayilov, Ministry of Health expert pediatrician Erkin Rahimov, Chairwoman
of the Assistance to Cystic Fibrosis Patients Public Union Saadat Bayramova, endocrinologist Azad Akbarzade, pulmonologist Cagla Khurshud Huseynova, and pediatric
gastroenterologist Anar Taghiyev.

This conference, dedicated to “Cystic Fibrosis Day in
Azerbaijan – March 12,” was not only highly productive
but also provided broad opportunities for the exchange of
knowledge and experience in the medical field.

Within the scope of the event, raising awareness about this rare disease and the implementation of social projects in this direction were particularly emphasized. Participants
stressed the importance of maintaining and continuing such
initiatives in the future.
