From Victory to Triumph: The Historical Path of the Turkic World

On April 16, 2025, Saida Musayeva, Chairwoman of the “Innovative Progress and Support for Socio-Economic Development” Public Union, participated in the international scientific conference titled “From Victory to Triumph: The Historical Path of the Turkic World”, co-organized by the “History and Ethnology of Turkic Peoples” Department of the A.A. Bakikhanov Institute of
History and Ethnology of ANAS and the “Atamnyn Amanaty” Public Organization from Kazakhstan. She took part in discussions focused on preserving the shared
historical memory of the Turkic world and passing it on to
future generations.

The conference gathered scholars, veterans, and public
figures from Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. The event was
moderated by Ilgar Niftaliyev, Ph.D. in History, Associate
Professor, and Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the
Institute of History and Ethnology, who delivered a
presentation on “The Memory of War in Azerbaijan and
Generational Continuity.” Gullu Yologlu, Ph.D. in History
and Head of the Department of Turkic Peoples’ History and
Ethnology, presented on “The Changing Turkic World:
From Victory to Triumph.”

Yerzhan Aytikov, Head of the Astana branch of the Union
of Karabakh War Veterans in Kazakhstan, joined the
conference online and shared heartfelt remarks. Founders of
the “Atamnyn Amanaty” Public Organization Aliya
Sagimbayeva and Saule Musina, and philologist
Gulbarshyn Zairova also presented their speeches.

Raisa Jafarova, Senior Researcher at the “History of the Soviet Period of Azerbaijan” Department, gave a presentation titled “Azerbaijani Women Who Lived as
Prisoners in ALZHIR.” Jabi Bahramov, Ph.D. in History
and Head of the “History of Western Azerbaijan”
Department, spoke on “The Contribution of the Azerbaijani
People to the Victory over German Fascism in 1941–1945.”
Khayala Shabanova, a PhD student at Baku State University, presented on “The Activities of the Azerbaijani Legion During World War II.” Nasikha Kenjina, Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation for Ecology and
Bioresources, Honorary Member of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, and member of the Journalists’ Unions of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, delivered a speech on
“Karabakh Through the Eyes of a Kazakh Woman.”
